The Prince of Wales Cannock closed its doors on May 3rd, 2025. Since the theatre opened in 1984 there has been a massive amount of shows, performances and bands all perform there. The theatre bought many people far and wide to Cannock and had build up a great reputation of providing a warm welcome and many fantastic shows. It’s sad to see the closing of the theatre after so many years.
The Prince of Wales Theatre was a valued cultural facility within Cannock with visitor numbers reported as over 70,000 per year. It has much local support, with an online petition to save the theatre gathering more than 19,000 signatures in two weeks.

Pictures above are the staff of the Prince of Wales on their final day May 3rd, 2025. Over the years they have done a tremendous job from welcoming, running and organising the events that bought so many people enjoy, it will be greatly missed.
